Sipsworth was founded with a shared appreciation for fine art and community. Over time, that focus evolved into a dedication to discovering beautiful, well-priced paintings — particularly turn-of-the-century works. 

Although our reach has expanded from mainly artists from New England, originally, many of the artists featured have strong ties to the Rhode Island School of Design and the Providence Art Club, institutions that have long shaped the region’s artistic heritage. A local artist continues to be featured. 

Sipsworth continues to evolve in the types of paintings offered by curating paintings with care and offering them to collectors on a simple, first-come, first-served basis throughout the year. The goal is to make discovering and collecting art approachable, personal, and rewarding.

Collectors are always welcome to request works with specific subjects, view works more closely, or try a painting in their own space. Assistance in sourcing specific works is also available.
